Allison Bergman
Allison Bergman is a prolific stage and screen director with two films and over 40 stage productions to her credit, featuring actors such as Phylicia Rashad, Leslie Uggams, Tamara Tunie, Leslie Odom Jr. and Josh Gad. She co-authored the acclaimed training text, Acting the Song, and is recognized for her broad knowledge of acting techniques and insightful coaching skills. Ms. Bergman empath-etically inspires actors to tap profound depth and consistently deliver vulnerable, layered, courageous performances. The first West Coast Musical Theatre Conference was launched under her guidance with numerous new musicals shepherded toward production. Ms. Bergman is lauded as an Outstanding Woman in Theatre in Los Angeles by Women in Theatre, and her directorial talents have been acknowledged with a Drama-Logue Critics Award.
