Holly Powell

Holly Powell is an Emmy Award-winning former casting director and recipient of the Casting Society of America’s Artios Award. She served as CBS Network’s Director of Casting, both East and West coasts, and as Senior Vice President of Casting for the Greenblatt Janollari Studio. She was also an independent casting director for many years with Holly Powell Casting, Stone Powell Casting, and Powell Melcher Casting. Through Holly Powell Studios, she teaches workshops at drama schools and universities around the country. She won the Backstage Readers’ Choice Award, ‘Favorite Audition Technique Teacher,’ two years running.

Holly is the author of The Audition Bible: Secrets Every Actor Needs to Know and released a second edition to stay current after the COVID19 pandemic changed much about audition protocol. She recorded the Audible version of both editions of The Audition Bible and co-authored her mother’s cookbook Mavis’ Kitchen: A Southern Cooking Lifestyle.

Holly is a founding member of She Angels Foundation, co-founder of Beyond Ranch Foundation, and a supporter of SANGO-Kenya.
