Devorah Cutler

Devorah (aka Devo) Cutler has dedicated her life to creating art and helping artists negotiate their dreams. Having worked with Stella Adler, gained insight as a writer/producer/director, improv performer and former studio executive, Devo helps actors launch their careers, and coaches at Acting International in Paris. She has a Masters in writing from USC and teaches in their summer program. Her short film for Showtime Entertainment, Peacock Blues, won First Place at MIFF. Her documentary Not Afraid to Laugh, about using humor to heal herself of breast cancer, was nominated for a Peabody and is archived in the Museum of Broadcasting for “Social Relevance and Historical Significance.”

Devo co-authored Dating Your Character… A Sexy Guide to Screenwriting, and was a contributor to both Now Write! Screenwriting and Now Write! Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. Her poems, short stories, cartoons and nonfiction have been featured in many publications. Devo is happily living in Ojai, CA helping out with its mission as “City of Peace.”
