Jack O'Halloran
Remaining undefeated in his first sixteen professional boxing matches, Jack O’Halloran was considered one of the most promising heavyweight hopefuls, and became the California Heavyweight Champion in 1972 and 1973. He was on the verge of a bout with Muhammad Ali when he was knocked out by Jimmy Summerville. Though he knocked out Summerville in the rematch, O’Halloran retired in 1974 with a record of 34-21-2 and 17 knockout victories. He was induced into the California, Pennsylvania and, New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fames. He also managed and trained the Super-Middleweight WBA World Champion, Frankie Lilies. Jack then launched a successful career as a character actor in FAREWELL, MY LOVELY, KING KONG (1976), SUPERMAN, SUPERMAN II, THE BALTIMORE BULLET, HERO AND THE TERROR and the DRAGNET movie. He is developing his published novel Family Legacy as a mini-series.
